Infidelity is always painful for the betrayed. But when there’s a baby on the way, it makes the sting that much worse. It’s cheating for two!
Unfortunately, it is not at all uncommon for husbands to stray from their pregnant partners – and not just in Hollywood. According to psychologist Robert Rodriguez, 10% of fathers-to-be cheat on their baby mamas.
What would drive a man to commit such egregious treachery? Some men blame their adultery on a feeling of being usurped by the baby. Others say they were looking for an escape from the stress of impending fatherhood. A few men admit they felt repulsed by their partner’s changing physique or were turned off by the idea of their baby being “involved” in their intimacy. Occasionally, the pregnancy was poorly timed, as the relationship was already as good as over.
Ashley Madison founder Noel Biderman posits that in many cases, it’s simply a matter of the pregnancy having led to “a period of abstinence” for the couple. Then there are those men that are going to cheat no matter the circumstances. Their wife’s pregnancy is incidental.
Whatever their reasons, none of the celebrities on this list are going to win Husband of the Year.
