1. When is the last time you held hands with someone?
I don't know specificially. Recently, I'm sure. My fella is nice to hold hands with.

Jack off.

Yes.
4. Where is your mom?
Shoveling snow from her driveway in New Mexico. Global warming?! Impossible! It's COLD.

I hit my stride around 6pm.

Match Point. It wasn't what I expected at all. I think I liked it but I'm not sure.

I have kind of grown to like my knee scars.

I haven't watched that many sunrises so they are more special to me.

As long as I'm reasonably healthy.

Off is cool as long as I don't fall asleep.

I think I was 6. It just kind of dawned on me and when I confronted my parents, they didn't deny it. Christmas was a lot less cool after that.

I used to. Most of them were terrible.

I have on occasion. It's funny.

All 3. I shift a lot throughout the night.

If I had to pick between those two breeds, rottweiler. Poodles are annoying. I'm happy with cats though.

Yes. But I'll perk up as soon as I'm not in front of a computer any longer.

Humpin' Around
I just heard that “My Humps” won a Grammy. I learned this from Stephen Colbert (via ) who said “I used to hate 'My Humps' until it won a Grammy.” In case there was ANY doubt about the legitimacy of the Grammy awards as a means to recognize musical talent, this proves it. The Grammys are a crock.
I'd also like to say Fuck the Police. And I don't mean that in an N.W.A. kind of way.
IBS Be-Gone!: Day Twenty Two
God, I miss wine.
I have slightly over a week left. So far so good. I have only had one bad incident since I started. I take that as a good sign. Cravings haven't been as bad as I expected either, though yesterday I went to Taste of India with Brugos and Brad and was a bit sad I couldn't rip off a big piece of naan and stuff it in my mouth. Turns out, however, that my favorite Indian dishes are perfectly within my diet parameters. Had I know this, I would have gone there several times already.
I might also be partaking in some Blu C Sushi on Wednesday for V-Day. I am looking forward to that prospect, even if I don't get to end my meal with my traditional cream puff.
I should probably start planning how and in what order I'm going to reintroduce yeast and sugar. I think some dietary changes will probably stick though. No more sugar in my tea. No more soda ever. And I'm going to try REALLY hard to keep high fructose corn syrup out of my diet entirely. (With the possible exception of HP Sauce. How can I say goodbye forever to the greatest condiment known to man?)
I think I will have to celebrate the end with a bottle of wine though. Something dry.
Snow Day Resurrected
Fangoria TV bought the broadcast rights to show Snow Day, Bloody Snow Day. They will be doing so starting Feb. 16th. I know most of you have already seen Snow Day. Many of you have probably seen it ad nausium. Still, will you please email the Fangoria people and tell them how much you like it (even if you don't)? A good response, according to, could mean more good stuff for GadZook (and possibly even Plight of the Living Dead in the future.

Edit from Dom: Just to be clear, Fangoria didn't buy anything. They acquired the screening rights for the film, but we still own all rights in relation to it. They have the ability to screen it on their station and present it in DVD compilations should they choose. IF they start charging for things, then we'll see a small fraction of a percentage of dough. The big thing is to convince Fangoria that there is a huge audience for our type of humor. So yes, please e-mail them and say so! :)

Plight of the Living Dead Filmmaker
If you have a great idea for a movie, ESPECIALLY if you back it up with a good script, you'd better jump on it but fast because someone else will have the same idea and probably make it happen.
This film is playing at SXSW this year, along with two other zombie comedies. It's the year of the zombie and I'm not a part of it. The thing that stings the most is that “American Zombie” is listed under the category of “Emerging Visions” at SXSW. Because their idea is so INNOVATIVE and ORIGINAL. Blast!
UPDATE: I also found this short with a similar theme. For the record, I came up with the original idea in 2001 and Faye and I finished the first draft of the script (and had it copywrited) in 2004.
